Mike Braun for Indiana: campaign websites and paid digital media
Campaign websites and paid digital media for the 2024 Indiana governor's race, working within the Redvail campaign team. Braun won a six-way primary and then the general election by the widest open-seat margin in the state since 1980.
About the client
Mike Braun for Indiana, Inc. was the gubernatorial campaign of then United States Senator Mike Braun. The campaign site carries the full apparatus of a statewide race: issues, news, endorsements, volunteer sign-up, contact and compliant consent language for calls and texts. Endorsers listed on the site include President Donald Trump, the Indiana State Police Alliance, the National Troopers Coalition, Indiana Right to Life, CPAC, Club for Growth, Americans for Prosperity and the Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters.
The brief
Give a statewide campaign a web presence that could take sign-ups, donations traffic and press attention at the pace of a primary and a general election, and run paid digital media that reached Indiana voters by area and group rather than by broadcast.
What we did
- Designed and built the campaign websites, including the endorsements, volunteer and contact flows with the consent and opt-out language a US political campaign must carry
- Set up the site to absorb traffic spikes around debates, endorsements and news cycles
- Planned and managed paid digital media across search and social, with audiences built by county, demographic and issue interest and budgets weighted to where the margin was
- Rotated creative at campaign pace, with rapid-response variants turned around the same day
- Reported reach and frequency by area so the campaign could direct the candidate's time and the budget
Delivered
- Campaign website and sub-pages
- Endorsement and volunteer forms
- Paid search and paid social campaigns
- Audience and geography plan
- Daily reporting during flights
On the public record
Braun won the May 2024 Republican primary with 39.5% of the vote in a six-way field, then the November general election with 54.4% and 1.57 million votes, a 13.3-point margin and the widest for an open governor's seat in Indiana since 1980 (Indiana Secretary of State via Ballotpedia).
